My father was in the Navy during Vietnam or Korea, but i was too young to talk with him about it. nor would he have talked about it. I was curious if any one knew him. Robert R. Hilger USN. He would have been from Kansas i believe. I grew up in Oklahoma. So i am not sure which he would have been from. He also passed away when i was 16. I am know 33 and would like any info i could find.

My brother served in the Vietnam war, when he came home he was "different". I was about 12 and it always bothered me. Today I'm a writer and started a book on the subject. I've heard some want to forget but I for some reason have to remember and write. The more I write about it the more I understand.I found your site and I think it will give me a lot of research. Thank you for your site and your defending us.

I didn't know where Vietnam was. I didn't know anything about the War except it happened. I'm 16 and I just barely learned about it in school. I was amazed no one told us this before. I came to this site to find out more because I believe it is vital to know the history of your country so you can improve the future.

I'm hoping to hear from VNV that served with my husband Sidney J. Weston (JOE) in 69-70. Mostly in Pleiku area but also Long Bien, Dak To, Saigon, Ben Hoa to name a few. Was Field Radio Mechanic, worked on roadways, and drove trucks. He spoke of pet German Shepard and a small monkey they adopted. I have names of buddies but no luck so far locating any. Looking for info on ill health effects from exposure to Agent Orange and the many other chemicals there. Any of you with Cholangiocarcinoma (Bile Duct Cancer)?

I thought this is a great website to find things out on Vietnam War. I would like to thank all of you veterans out there for being brave and going to fight for the protection of our country even though we should not have fought in that war in my opinion. This site was really good for my research project on Vietnam and my teacher gave me a 100% and i thank it all to this site.
I SALUTE ALL OF YOU!!!!!!

Was in Vietnam from November 1967 through November 1968. Assigned to the 20th Preventive Medicine Unit, was at the 926th Med. Det. in Chu Lai, which was administratively attached to the 2nd Surgical Hospital, from Nov. '67-Apr '68. Got to know many of the DustOff pilots and crew there - the greatest/gutsiest guys imaginable. Was at 20th PMU HQs in Bien Hoa remainder of tour. Often wonder what it would be like to go back.
