I'm a Vietnamese student at University of Nebraska, and I always concern about the VietNam war. Because of the death of so many people. I wonder whose fault is it to blame!!!!!!!!

Well, I am doing a research paper on how the Philippine Insurrection was a preview of the Vietnam War. I came to this site by a simple Google search. I was very happy with the amount of information available. And since I'm using your site as a reference, I have to cite it. While looking for the required information, I discovered a lot of the members are South Carolinians like myself.

Let me just say that, while I am fairly certain that my personal opinion of the war sharply contrasts the opinions of most of the Veterans I've talked with, my love of history (particularly Asian history) overshadows how I might feel about war.

And the fact that VWAM is a humanitarian effort also pleases me. You can be sure that I will be returning to this site. Hell, I might even get to meet some of the developers of it, if there is ever any kind of event like that. I'm near Charleston.

Oh well, the above is kind of long, and I've always been long-winded, but I need to be returning to my research paper. I just wanted to thank you for having such an informative website. I don't normally use the internet for references in papers, but when I needed some information about ethnic Vietnamese, there you were!

Thank you VWAM!

My dad was in the war and he doesn't like to talk about it. I'm 26 so i don't no much about it. And i would like to know about that part of his life. I figured I would learn about it so maybe i could get some insight on why he feels the way he does.I know he loss alot of buddys over there.I think most of his platoon from what other family members told me. We dont ask him about it because we know it makes him very uncomfortable. But it was a big part of history for our country and I'd like to know.
