I am a writer doing research for the past 18 months on a book about my friend, A1C Kenneth E. Baker Jr., Weather Observer, 30WS, Det 13. He was killed by a direct hit from a 75mm recoilless rifle shell in the weather cab of the control tower at Binh Thuy AFB, South Vietnam on March 22, 1968. This book is for his family. I am searching for members of the AF units who were at Binh Thuy that night and directly involved.
A.)1880th Comm Sq Air Traffic Controllers:
MSgt Billy Gentry
MSgt John Messenger
TSgt Richard "Dick" Tucker
-TSgt or MSgt Robert L. "Woody" Wood
-SSgt Richards or Richardson (no first name)
B.) After the attack, SSgt Dave "Rosie" Rosenbeck of the 632nd CSG Fire Dept next to the tower sent three firemen up to the cab to retrieve Kenny. He does not remember their names. I am looking for any and all members of 632nd CSG Fire Dept at Binh Thuy March 22, 1968; either the three firemen themselves, or those who know who they were.
If anyone reading this has any information whatsoever on the men listed above, or where I can get it, PLEASE contact me asap at the email address listed here. I would be most appreciative, as would the Baker family. My heartfelt thanks to VWAM for posting this notice.

Hello, My husband Harry Telles of 33 years passed away in Oct 19,2011. He died because of cancer (Sarcoma), he lasted 3 months from the time it was discovered, the one that they say is associated with agent orange. I need any of his shipmates that were on the USS Gurke from 1969-1971. I know the ship was involved in the west-PAC tours and I need some proof that he set foot in Vietnam or was on a boat in the Vietnam waters. I need help from some of his friends on that were on the ship with him please help me. He was only 61 years young and he so wanted to see his grandchildren grow up but the cancer took him. Please write me if you can help me the VA only wants a letter from some his shipmates as proof.
Thank you all so much and i look forward to hearing from a whole bunch of you.
Very sincerely
Lucy Telles A very sad widow of a great man
