We went to Tan Tru in Feb. of 67 . and was assigned to assault and destroy missions in the area of Tan An and Ben Luc. This was known as the Plain Of Reeds or as we called it , the Bowling Alley. We were ambushed by a VC platoon near An Nhut Tan, in Long An Province. I recieved four rounds from small arms fire. I was flown by chopper to 3rd Field Hospital, Saigon, and about three weeks later to 106 General Hospital in Yokohoma, Japan. --------------I want to say thanks to all my brothers that served in Vietnam, and to give you a Welcome home.
