I served with MILPHAP N2 in HoiAn from 5/68 to 5/69. Two of the doctors on my team was a Dr. BoIton and a Dr. Kilpatrick.. My closest buddy on the team was John Gallagher from Ohio. We were together from boot camp , to Quantico, Va. to the Navy Yard Dispensary in DC. where we volunteered for a Milphap team in VietNam. I would love to hear from anyone that was a member of that team. FYI I returned to HoiAn in March 2007 and actually found some of the Vietnamese Nurses that I worked with in the Males Surgical Ward at the HoiAn Hospital.

Daryl Klepsa from Grand Forks wrote on March 24, 2021 at 10:02 pm
I am trying to find men from my grandfathers unit. His name is John H. Klepsa. He was part of the 525th Quartermaster Company (Petroleum Depot) before going to Vietnam. While he was in Vietnam he was with the 586th Signal Company (Support). He served November 1963- November 1965. From what my father told me he only served for three months in Vietnam. I was just hoping that maybe someone would read this that was with him and might be able to give me a little more information on his unit and possibly a unit patch. Thank you.

I was at Fort Carson in 1966. In either sept or oct, we were transferred out as a unit to Vietnam and ended up in Long Binh. I was attached to the 94th maint. co. and spent about 4 months as a guard at the ammo dump, which was right across the road. the rest of my time I was working as a mechanic going out in the field and repairing heavy equip. I had a very good friend there, his name was JOE RAPP. if anyone knows him or me, give me a hollar.

In May of this year I signed this guestbook, but I put in an incorrect date for my 2d tour in RVN. I joined 402d Trans in Jan 1971,not 1970 as I stated in the original.I was there for a few months, went to conus on emergency leave, when I got back to RVN the 402d had stood down,so I was sent to 510th Eng.(HEM) until Dec 71.
