I am doing a search for my father, Frederick Mayer. He proudly served in Vietnam 1968-1969, 3rd motor transport, 3rd Marine division. He has recently for the first time ever been telling me some great stories of his time served. although he has many bad memories, he has plenty fond memories of some great people he met and became friends with over there. It would be amazing if he could get back in touch with some of those fine individuals. Specifically: Doc Walker or Ronny Tate just to name a couple. If any of you out there served with my father and remember him please contact me. My email is [email protected]. Thank you all very much for all that you have done for me and mine to be safe in this country.

Served in VietNam from dec. 12, 1970 to dec. 10, 1971. I spent the 8 or 9 months on Hill 131. The only names I remember are, the late Jerry N. Duffy, Narsiso Mendoza, and Emmet. I have pictures of the rest of you but I don't remember your names. Before I went to the Hill I was very good friends with Michael Thornton. Anybody who remembers me please write or (call 815-713-9648). May God Bless All Who Served.
