I served with the 1'st Mar. Div. in 1969 in Quang Nam Province. Returned in 1996 to a tranquil and beautiful country. Hard to beleive we lost so many good men and for what??? A civil war we had no business medling in. I am proud of my serviice there and the great men I served with and still keep contact with. It was a hell of a way to make life long friends and memories.

Please feel free to express you opinions about our play, "The Red Testament"

We have a Christmas play about a disabled Vietnam Vet who has a mysterious meeting with a man he met on Christmas Eve in Vietnam. As it turns out, the mysterious man was "Charlie" and disguised as a farmer on a mission to plant explosives that eventually cost our Airborne friend his leg. But this Vietnamese fellow became a believer that night and was mistreated and tortured by Vietnamese communists for years because of his faith. He has traveled miles to come visit our main character, to seek his forgiveness and reconciliation. You can read ACT 2 where this part of the play is at http://www.achristmasplay.com

Thanks for your feedback.

August67-August68, CPT, Intelligence Analyst,CICV and MACV, Chief, Political Section, SRA. Did the commanders take time to read the numerous intelligence documents I authored which informed them of what the enemy was thinking and doing prior to and after Tet? Or, maybe they did read them but too controversial and against the grain of command thinking at the time. Maybe, command did not have the courage to "rock the boat". Perhaps, some things could have turned out different with some courageous discussion. We gave it our best!
