Dear VWAM, thanks for the wonderful mission work in Vinh Long in May of 2009. I just found out about your work on youtube. Vinh Long was my hometown and I have a deep compassion for the people there. Hopefully I can join you one day. May God bless all of you! In Christ, Lamanh

I served in RVN 5/69 to 12/69 C co. 1st Btl. 4th Marines 3rd Mar Div. We we pulled out of Nam as the first phase of descalating the war. We were sent to Okinawa and 1 month to Fugi Japan for cold weather training for the duration of our tour. Most of us were just kids. I saw alot and learned alot and used the military experience through out my life. I am proud to have served the Corps and my country. My only regret is the way it ended. I feel many young lives were lost for no reason. I see the same thing happening to day in Iraq. War is not a good thing but some times it is necessary to keep the world we live in a safe place. I will always treasure the memories of my military time and would like to thank all the men and woman who have and those who are still serving in the Armed forces. Both active and inactive. In combat and non-combat positions. May God Bless you and keep you safe. May you all come home safe to your families and loved ones. We have paid the price for freedom. The United States is still the greatest country in the world.

This happened 40 years ago, but I know they still humping around. Someone who knows them, please rigng the bell. SSG Belles is from Oakland, CA. I don't know from where CPT Allen, was from. I am looking for anyone that might have served with my father. He trained in winter of 64' at Fort Riley, I believe went to Florida and Texas to train before he was sent to Vietnam, in or near Ben Cat near a rubber plantation. He served in Company B or D (he was transfered at some point) 1st medical battalion. He was an army medical corspman, mainly drove an ambulance. I believe he was the 2nd shift, if you would, of the armies 1st division to get sent to Vietnam and left late summer . Sarah

I am looking for anyone who served with Sgt. William Earl Stone in Company A 3rd Battalion 7th Infantry 199th Light Infantry Brigade April 1968 - October 1968. I especially like anyone who was with him on October 29, 1968, the day he was killed by enemy fire. I need to know what happened that day and if anyone recalls if he is deserving of the Distinguished Service Cross or Metal of Honor for his action in taking fire from his patrol so that they could retreat and died as a result of his actions. I believe these facts were overlooked when he was posthumously awarded his other medals and I would like to correct the oversight. Thank you for your time.

I was in Lai Keh 1968-1969 and witnessed the murder of PFC Daniel Carter. We were in Co. B 121st Signal !st Inf. 2nd Div. I have filed for PTSD with the VA and have been turned down for lack of info. If anyone can shed some light please e-mail me. It went to trial, but they sent me home because I was over my ETS date. I would like to know once and for all what happened.
