I don't know but from what I can remember, it knocked the hell out of us. it set off all six claymores in front of the bunker.

VietNam was long ago, don't know that I should be opening old memories. Served as a Navy Corpsman with A Co. 3rd Shore Party Bn. 3rd Mar. Div. fall of '67 to fall of '68. Saw action at Khe Sanh. To all those fallen Marines I could not save. May God grant you restful sleep until his return to take you home. To those who made it home, you are all forever in my thoughts, I wish you all the best life can offer.

I was at USARV HQs from March, 1970 to April, 1971 as a member of the 26th Military Detachment, offices at USARV. Served under Captain Hrair Badalian and Captain John Kemmer, in one of several military detachments in two offices in the left middle building at USARV. We covered history at 1st Signal Brigade. There were detachments for
many major commands in RVN. Captain John Schlotterback and Spec 5 Mike Krause handled an
Engineering command. Major Teuton commanded another detachment. Major Sylvan commanded another. Terry Hickman, a former peace corpsman
was another clerk typist in a detachment. His 'unit' got sent to Cam Ranh at some point. He was my roommate. Terrall Smith showed up afterward and became my new roommate. I had been a chaplain's assistant through school in Ft. Hamilton
until I got the flu, missed classes for a week, and was cashiered from the program. Had friends like Rex Hayes, an actor, who remained a CA (Chaplain's Assistant). He played Peron in one of the original Andrew Lloyd Weber Evitas. I spotted him in a TV promo in the seventies for I Love New York. Learned he had died several months ago, went back and looked at StepMom to see his only
appearance in a film two weeks ago. Paul Gregorio was a CA friend at Hamilton and friend of Rex's too.
I wrote Rex from Long Binh a few raucous letters.
