I served with the USMC in VietNam from Nov 67-Feb-70. For the last 38 years I have never heard welcome home from someone other than those of us that went. Last month I was in Thailand on business and had a young lady 28 years old find out I served in VietNam. She came to me and said she had never ever met one of the hero's of that war but had read a lot about us and her grandparents told her of us where upon she hugged me, thanked me with all of her heart and cried like a baby. I am 59 years old but it finally brought me to a place of peace. My only disappointment is "I still wait for that greeting at home"? Semper FI and WELCOME HOME MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS!

GREAT web site!
Served in MAG 16 at Marble Mountain on CH-46's and the old Sikorsky Deuce from August 1965 to October 1966, and a couple of months at Da Nang airport on a helicopter buildup team.
Never forget October 28, 1965 and being overrun by the VC, and loosing Eddie Grabowski.
Going back to VN in December of this year. I'm sure it will be interesting and from the pictures on this web site the area has changed quite a lot. Looking forward to meeting the people there and reminiscing a bit, and yes of course the food.

Served with Charlie Co. 1/501 Inf. 2nd Bridgade, 101st Airborne Division out of LZ Sally from March of '68 to March of '69, as M60 Gunner, Squad Leader and all around Grunt. Thought I left all that stuff behind many years back. Now, it all seems to be coming back with a vengeance in my dreams both waking and sleeping. Hard times...
