I am looking for some information on my father, because he doesn't talk about the war; I'm now 32, and fear that I will never know what happened during his years there. The only thing I know is that he had a tiger stripe uniform in his closet when I was little, and said, I think at one point, that he served with the 3/27th Marines. But I'm not sure if he was in the Navy or the Marines. The only story he ever told me was about when he was blown off a jeep he was riding in from a landmine, and the head of his rifle cut through his cheek (I think that is why he wears a beard). I'm not even sure what name he would have gone by; he grew up in Bridgeport, CT and spent some time in Vermont before heading out to Vietnam in 1967, I believe. His current name is Charles "Skip" Koch, and any information that you can provide me with would be much appreciated. I also remember hearing a story about his camp exchanging grenades for ammo w/the special forces camp that was right beside them? I would be interested in finding some of his old friends, as he is not very computer literate! I can be reached at [email protected] or [email protected]

Thank you for your time and service for our Country.

My dad is retired USAF Tsgt. Rodney Gene Dunbar (Gumba or Rod) and I am looking for any of his friends from the 39th Squadron stationed in Udorn, Tay Hoa, and Cam Ranh Bay between 67-69. He was with the ARRS at that time. I am trying to find any history I can of that time so I can compile a little gift for him for his b-day on June 24.I have heard a little of the craziness from him but if I can get more info, it would be greatly appreciated. I have gathered a bit from this site. ( Love it by the way) I grew up around the Jolly Greens and think they did a wonderful job! I still have the t-shirt from AK with the pic of a Jolly Green airlifting an ass and saying "We'll save yours too" on the back it says "support USAF Air Rescue GET LOST Elmendorf AFB, AK" from when we were stationed there in 75 to 80. I love those things. I am very proud of him and the others that sacrificed so much so that others may live. If you have any info, please email me anytime...thank you so very much.

Have left a email message a number of years ago under my old verizon email address. Needless to say I never receive any feed back. I was stationed at Cam Rahn Bay 9/68 to 9/68 at the TMP with the Army. During this time I left a young Lady pregnant(sp), she worked at the TMP, left, and went to work at the base snack bar. She did have the baby but I never did find out what happen to either one. Does anyone know what organization or any other way I can help me investigate this and find out what happen to them. I know a lot of people will be saying how stupid I am for not keeping up with this and I totally agree with you. BUT PLEASE HELP WITH ANY CONSTRUCTIVE INFORMATION POSSIBLE.

Hello. I find this a great site. I am here because I want to find someone for my mom. His name was Don Wickley (this is how it is pronounced). He served the vietnam war around 1968-1970 and went back home in August 1970. He came back a month later september 1970 to marry my mom (René), but because of strange circumstances, they've never seen nor speak to eachother again. When she told me this story, I really want to find him, or at least speak to someone who knew him or still knows him. Back then, he lived in Ohio, I don't know what town exactly. THey met at the NCO club in vietnam (I also don't know what state). Please, if anyone knows this man, then contact me. I can't say how much I would be thankful.
I do not live in the states, neither does my mom.

Thank you for reading and I wish you all luck.
