I served with C 2/35 25th ID and spent most of my time in the Duc Pho area. From May 1967 until Nov 1967 our batallion basecamp was LZ LIZ. The 2/35th and their support units were the first units to be on Liz during VN. If I am correct the 11th Light Inf took it over after we went north. I was in the mortar section. We built a very nice bunker there during the summer of 1967. Other LZs and FSBs we operated out of in the Duc Pho area were Charlie, Short, Dragon, Red Hill, Thunder and Montezuma. LIZ was by far our favorite. Give It Hell!

I talked to one you a few days after his death that thought it wasn't as called. It has been 35 years and time to step up and set the record straight. Please consider what the family has endured.
