Was there 67,68 finished in 70. on a reefer barge mar 67 with Sgt Skinner,[NCOIC] Spc FIELDS [62C], Dope smoking Budda from NY, me [51L] and Lurch [to tall for the engine room] . Lurch should be getting disability for brain damages as many times as he walked into the bulkhead, Fields dam near shot himself with the grease gun after a arvin stole his bottle [he was drunk] .Skinner was always fighting with his dog on the delong pear in vung tau,[he did teach me how to drive a jeep] . later SSg Pickney Ncoic Spc Osborn [our cook who couldnt swim joined us.] Osborn, that bottle of johnny walker you gave me after pulling you out of the river in siagon is still my brand. Served with 185th Maint Bn,140th Hemco, Evac Sec 68-69 at Long Binh. Looking for ANY of the guys to reconnect with. My "shot gun driver" was John Tvedt on a 10 ton /60 ton dragon wagon Came down with HEP in May 69 and was shipped home direct from field.
The motor pool clerk was Roland "Barney" Banville from New Bedford, Ma. Several other guys were Tom Gardner, CO Jimmy Jackson, Boyd, to name the ones I remember. Please respond and I WILL do the same.Thanks, Paul

Men. My GQ station was a Sight Setter In 8 " Gun, it seams like we were always
at General Quarters,and alway Hotter than Hell. We did a lot of Fire support for them Groun Forces.Our Skipper received the Bronze Star, we received CAR,RVCG/w Palm.
It was atime I will never forget,great Shipmates,and a Great Ship. When I came home in 69,I got Married To Nanette Savage,we Have 4 Daughters, 2 Sons.We have 13 Grandchildren,and 11 Great-Grandchildren. I went to College for 3 yrs.And worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections,as a Prison Counselor,1975-2001. I am a Disable Vet.A life member of the DAV,VVA,VFW,American Legion,Tin Can Sailors,Crusier Sailors Association USN Memorial. Fair Winds to all.

I served at Marble Mountain Air Facility with H&MS-16 from June 2, 1969 to February 23, 1970. I applaud your work toward reconciliation between the United States and Vietnam, particularly regarding dioxin (agent orange) remediation.

I was the FO for D-1-9, 3rd Marine Division, in the first half of 1967. Con Thien, Gio Lihn, Khe Sahn, and points inbetween. Dong Ha was our rear, where there was safety and hot chow, not to mention showers from 55-gallon drums. I have few good memories of Viet Nam.

Great news. I was in Delta Co. Ist Engrs, !st Inf 66-67 and read my company web page and heard from buddy Douglas Nelson. My advice is keep on ,keeping on and you will run across one of the old farts you remember as a slim young man we all was back in the day. GOD BLESS the VETERANS

I was stationed at Marble Mountain Airfield with F-Troop 8th CAV from July 1971 - July 1972. I was a Snake Crew Chief. Anyone that remembers me or was also there, I would enjoy hearing from you.
