Hi I am actually the daughter of Charles Gordon Ryburn. I tried to find him for so long, unfortunatrly it was threw his passing I did. He is buried at Fort Custer National Cemetary in Michigan.. I sure hope to make it out there someday. I havent had any luck with finding pics of him but would love to hear stories about him if possible. He was a Gy Sgt in the Marines and did 4 tours in Vietnam and was stationed out of Los Alamitos where he met my mom. Any stories or pics would be welcomed.
Thank You

US ARMY,
605th Transportation (ADS)
Oct 1966 - Oct 1967
Was on flight status, Pipesmoke Control, change to Big Stoggie before I left Vietnam
Maintance Chewchief.
we only use a Huey for recoveries, used cargo straps and a tow truck hook in the beginning. The original 605th members had been at Phu Loi for 6 months when I arrived,
Promoted tp Spec. 4, Made Sol. of the month after first arriving. What pressure! I was told that someone from the Rotorwing section had always won....
