I was a corpsman with the 3rd Shore Party, H&S Co., 3rd Marine Division from Nov 1966 - Nov 1967. Started off in DaNang, across from Hill 327 and "the big PX", Then the battalion relocated to Gia Le (a cemetery between Hue and Phu Bai). As a corpsman, we were sent to various companies for different periods, operations, support, etc., sometimes a few days to six months on "float", etc. Would enjoy hearing from anyone with the Shore Party Battalion, or that knew corpsmen there, especially those that were KIA that year. To my fellow Marines and servicemen, "Welcome Back", and "Semper Fi". You have a great site, wishing you continued success. Bob Mitchell HMC(FMF) USN Retired

What a wonderful site that has been created. ! The Vietnam War was always in the forefront during my high school and college years. I am a Vietnam era veteran ('68-72) and served with the U S Air Force....and spent three addiitional years in the Reserves and Army National Guard. The projecrts that have been accomplished and the ones in progress (and the ones in the future) are absolutely wonderful....helping people who are probably the nicest indiviudals one can find on this planet. Thank you to all who have made this site possible...and may God continue to richly bless the work being done in this fascinating country!

Was in Vietnam from May of 1968 to May 1969. Was with a target aquistion battery, stationed at Gio Linh a small RVN out post on the DMZ. Our base camp was Dong Ha. I was with a Sound unit, we also had Flash and Radar. This outpost was more Marines and Rvn's than Army, but we got along with everyone real well. Couldn't ask for better people to be stationed with, and still love them all today. Our company C/F Btry 26th Artillery have a reunion every three years and really enjoy each others company. Thanks to the people who set up this website, it is awesome. Thanks for letting me bend your ears with a few words. God Bless you all.
