Semper Fi Marines and brother/sister US Soldiers - I am a USMC VietNam vet who served there in '67 & '68. I was with H Co 2/26. My experiences were many as a grunt and I would specifically like to say that I am proud to have served "in country" with all of us who so willingly fought for the freedoms that so many enjoy today. To my brothers and sisterswho are no longer with us, I pray that you have found the peace you so deserve. For those of you who are still with us, I pray that you and your families have found and continue to find the happiness and peace that only a free world can enjoy. If any of my friends read this and would like to contact me, please do so by email. God bless you all.

I want to thank all you Vietnam Vets out there, that served in that noble cause. I have tried to thank you all in an independent film called, FORGOTTEN HEROES. I am the producer/director and I have been trying to get my film to the American public for over 15 years. I was never in the service, but I got fed up with all the Vietnam films that was coming out of Hollywood all through the 70s and 80s.
I use to work with a lot of Vietnam Vets and what they told me and what was coming out of Hollywood was two different stories. I decided to write this script and I found a Vietnam era veteran that was an investment broker and he helped me put this massive indie film project together. It took me two years to shoot and complete my post-production. I began shopping this pro vietnam veteran film to the major studios in 1990. I am still today trying to get them to distribute this film that praises all you warriors, that answered JFK's call to defend freedom for anyone in the world.
As a first time independent film director I wanted to make this film to honor all you vietnam veterans and get the film out there in the pop culture. This has been a 15 year struggle to fight against the Hollywood liberals that in the 60's were protesting the war and what you Heroes tried to do over there.
I have a web site you can review and see my trailer. www.warriorfilmmakers.com/marinofilm
My only hope to get this film out to all of you, in your local theater. I could use some help from all that read this post and spread the news of this film to as many Vets and news outlets as you can. A grassroots effort is all I have to promote FORGOTTEN HEROES, and change the Hollywood perception of the Vietnam War. My film is the only true independent World War II style film, in a Vietnam setting, that tells a story of a Russian General defecting during the Vietnam War. This independent film goes against all of the films that Hollywood has ever made about Vietnam.
Thank you all for your service and welcome home

USAF, Tan Son Nhut, 460th FMS (AGE shop). No war stories to tell. No dreams of the fields of combat. Just wanted to say Welcome Home to all who returned. Would love to locate Greener, Lawrence, Uncle Joey, or any others who might see this. Sometime I miss that place. While the warriors were doing their thing, I was tucked into a nice soft bed in a nice safe barracks. Can't be around Army or Marine troops. Can't match their stories. Thanks you guys for your service. God Bless.

I am helping one of my best friends try to figure out just where all he was in Vietnam and frankly he doesn't remember much at all. He knows that the patch he wore was a blue heart. Some places he mentioned to me he was at over there are A Shau Valley, Da Lot, Rakkasan (a please forgive me is these aren't spelled correctly!). I do know he was in the Army and went to Vietnam in 1970. He did his basic at Fort Leonardwood.
His name is Johnny Long. If anyone can point me in the right direction and how I can find his information, please email me at [email protected]. Thanks.
