I served in the Nam from Dec 68' to May 69'. I was with the 14th Engrs. Co. C at LZ Nancy. On my first mine sweep we caught sniper fire and our E6 squad leader left us. He was not @ our hootch when we got back. One of the guy's in our squad was made squad leader. We called him RED.There was also a Terry and a Phil Housenick in my squad. When we first arrived we were in tents and then built our hootches. If anyone remembers please get in contact.

Does anyone remember US Naval personnel being assigned to NavSupFac Danang in early 1971? We were to train ARVN AF to install communication equipment in ARVN A-1 Sky Raiders
I was aboard USS Ranger, CVA-61 and took a flight into Vietnam on 'Double Nuts', I think the designation was C-1A, civilians now use them as tankers for firefighting and they are called S-2s.
Thanks for any/all replies.

Nice work, fitting memorial pages! After 35 years it's still very difficult to talk about it. I kept up with my Marines for 30 years until they had mostly died off. Now, I am not far from the final destination. I can only wish that what these men sacrificed, and why they died will never be forgotten! My heart and love go out to all my Buds! "Doc" Dene R Francis, HM2, 3rd Platoon, Delta/1/5 - (6-'67 to 8-'68) Semper Fi Marines!

I served with the 8th Engr.Bn. 1st Air Cav.Div.in 67-68 and with the 27th maint. Bn. 1st Air Cav. Div. in 70-71. Have pictures of the men and about 15 rolls of super 8 movies. My memory is fading. I don`t remember who I was with and in what year. I`m from a small town close to Austin Texas and I don`t think anyone knows I was over there or even cares. I still feel that I`m there. I think more of Nam than I do of my Dad whom we buried not too long ago. I love you Dad. He never wanted me to go. I was his only son.

Hello, I am 32-year old half-Vietnamese half-American girl whose father was an American soldier in Cam Ranh Bay 1969-71.
His surname was LEWIS. His MOS #94B10 or 94B20. His duties were to supervise cooks, order food, plan menus, etc. as Supervisor of Food Supply in a MESS HALL at CAM RANH BAY.
He left Vietnam 8-71 and I was born 7 months later 3-72. He 27 years old in 1971, med. ht/wt, light brown hai, b. 1944-45.
He knew my mom (NHAN KIM HUYNH) pregnant and he love her very much. She lived in village just outside Army base at Cam Ranh. My family came to United States 1989. Can you please tell me how to find information of MESS HALL/ Food Supply Army personnel at Cam Ranh 1969-71 (I do not know Unit #). Any transport drivers, cooks, etc. should remember him.
I would just like to locate LEWIS and talk to him and ask him if he want to meet me & my family. I pray everyday for him to be searching for me too.
Can you recommend any other websites to go to? Thank you in advance for your kind response!

My late husband J.C. Meyers went to VietNam in June of 67, and left in June of 68. He was part of a troop movement out of Fort Hood Texas. He was associated with tanks, and I believe he was some type of mechanic, as that is what he did all his life. Had a dog there named Copeastetic. Would love to talk with anyone that knew him. J.C. was originally from the Detroit area. He just passed away at age of 61, Agent Orange got him
