I did my basic and AIT training at Fort Polk La. between March 65 and Oct 65. From there I went to Vietnam. I spent the first few months, Oct 65 thru Dec 65 in Vung Tau before being reassigned to the 110th Trans CO Tan Son Nhut. I don't remember the units I was asigned to other than the 110th. If anybody out there remembers me or might have any pictures please E-Mail me. I am originally from Arizona now living in Michigan. Thanks and welcome home.

As a volunteer from Cleveland and Salem, Ohio now with Thai Catholic Commission on Migration, I am working with several refugees from Vietnam, including a young man who has a Koho mother and a Mnong father. He is K'ho Lat from the Dalat area. I would like to hear from anyone who worked with K'ho or Mnong during the war. Simon is Catholic. His grandmother's brother translated the New Testament into K'ho for the Catholic Church. During the war I was with Vietnam Christian Service in Dilinh (Djiring) and elsewhere.

I would like to contact Lt. Niles Strew of the 3rd Marines. I collect war letters. My collection includes your father's WWII letters, and his letters from Korea. Lester Strew allegedly was a POW during WWII. But I have no knowledge of where or when. I want to learn more. I want solid details. Which Japanese POW camp? And when? From 42 to 43, Lester was in New Guinea. He manned a radio/weather station. He says he asked for combat and received it. He mentions being in the hospital, allegedly with Malaria. I can only try to speculate that maybe Lester endured a short POW stint on New Guinea, until the Allied forces finally beat the Japanese on New Guinea in mid to late 1944. But maybe they reassigned him in 1944 to a hot area.

I was assigned to the 1/10th Cav, "A" troop on Nove 6, 1998. I was an 11Bravo and humped all over Pleiku, Bhami-tuit, VC Valley, Kontum, and Ahn Khe. We had a great bunch of guys. I would like to chat with anyone in my unit. You may remember me by my nickname (HEAD). Or, you may remember me when I shot the top of the messhall off with a 50Cal when we received fire from the LZ.
