I am 44 years old. I was to young and I lived in Canada so I could not have known what hell these men went through. I just finished reading Mark Baker's NAM and was moved to tears for both Americans and the Vietnamese. It was an inhuman war.

I am looking for veterans who served at Chu Lai between May 1969 and April 1970. I was attached to the 160th Engineering Detachment. I am in need of support statements to confirm the Mortar Attack on 8 Jun 69 that hit the hospital and killed a nurse, Sharon Lane. I am also trying to get support statements for a Huey incident. We were on our way out to an LZ and got hit in the tail section and fell several thousand feet and slammed into the rice paddies. I am also looking for John Hassett.
