When I was a kid the first Vietnam War movie I watched was "green Berets" with John Wayne.Ever since then I have read and watched any material i can get on the Vietnam War, I studied it in school as well.I cant fully explain the fascination, its not a macabre one admiring the death or destruction, its more the futility of that war, the disgusting way vets were treated after they got home, and if the films are to be believed the amazing comaradarie that was felt on the field of battle.
I salute the commitment and bravery, even if it was simply obeying orders, of everyman who faught, died and returned from Vietnam, both American and Australian where I live now.

The vietnam history was a very terrific topic of my history day project because it has a lot of facts and details of the risks the soldiers are talking who now we called them Veterans of The Vietnam War. Soldiers who died in vietnam, we place a their name in The Vietnam Memorial plaque in New York.
