I served in the USMC 4/67 - 12/67 main base about 5-miles from the DaNang air base. 1st Engineer BN truck driver/dispatcher . Also at Hill 55 for the month of 6/67 building Liberty Road. Volunteered to go to Hill 63. Went by ship to Chu Li, Drove in convoy through Tam Ky Hill 29 and finally Hill 63 area. I was only there for the night as my dump truck was blown up the very next day while hauling dirt to make a road around a blown up bridge. Looking for anyone that may have been there during that time with me. I only can remember one full name Tom Pettit and my trucker friend Robert..

I was assigned to the 8th in Dec 1965 at Plieku AB. Great home base of assignment to work from. Great bunch of “RED HATTERS” a Porter could work with for my first assignment to VN. Would be a good thing to see what up with Ashley, Bullavitch and Jones. Lots of field support TDYs and first hand battle field expertise for the 13 month tour. My second tour in 1968 with a home base of Danang AB inwhich ended after injuries recieved from Khe San and Danang.
I did finish a 30 year tour with the USAF as a 60500/2T200.
