Vietnam experience was Sept. 68--Nov 69-With the 51st Medical Co. (ambulance) Phu Tai Valley. Was tdy with 173rd A.B. at LZ English for several months. Some of our commitments were @ 67th evac hosp, 85th hosp. when it was in Qui-Nhon. DeLong Pier, LST Beach. Metcads.
Our compound had a P.O.W. convalescence area which was guarded by the good guys at 66th MP Co. just down the road. We also had a dispensary and a dental facility. Phu Tai Valley was about 8 miles N.W. of Qui-Nhon. Welcome Home & Thanks for your service!!!!

Served 2 tours incountry,1st tour with 538th Transportation company,1966-1967.We left Ft Bragg NC,went to Calif,boarded the USS Breckinridge.When we got to RVN we stayed at Ton Su Nhut Air base a few days then went to TC hill at Long Bihn. As truck mechanics we were sent to the TTP there for a few days, then we were sent out to build our own compound, and attached to 64thQm Bn.Our company hauled fuel.We were called PETRO-MAIN.
2D tour I was with 402nd Trans Co.for several months in 1970,went back to Conus on emergency leave,back to RVN was assigned to 510 Engineer(HEM) left RVN Dec 1970. Would like to hear from anyone who was with those units at the same time I was.

I was in A company 2/8 Mechanized Inf in Vietnam from about Nov. 68- mid Oct. 69.
I drove the 11 Track. Looking for some old buddies from that time Henry Luna from LaHabra Cal., Tommy Langston from Texas , James Mills from NC or SC. Tom or William Bellew from LA.

Glad for all of those that made it home and hoping they have had a good life.

I was in Vietman in 68-69 in the 86th Engineers Unit. I am trying to locate some of the men that was there with me. There was one man that I was there with that I remember his last name but not his first, his last name was Pridemore. If anyone was in my Unit, please let me know.

servre in country from sept. 1966 to apr 1968.was at chu lai va blow it up,blast was seen in danang 56 miles away,i was60 yards away in bomd shelter so close did not hear blast.transfer from vmfa-115 yo mag-13for being bad boy,thats another stroy.

I served in the 497th Engr P. C. from 71 to Mar72 in Cam Rhan Bay I was there when the POL point went up in flames. We deactivated in Feb 72 to Na Trang looking for anyone that was there

I was in VN in May 1965 I flew over with the 173rd in a C130 from Okinawa. I remembered minor details regarding getting off the C130 and joining the 3rd Battalion 319th. My nickname was ACE because of my status Sharpshooter with the M14 and then with the M16 status. If anyone remembers those days please let me hear from you...
