I had the honor of commanding the 5th Maintenance Bn near QuiNhon from Oct 67 to Oct 68. I have recently learned a number of the men who served in the bn are having annual reunions. I attended the last one (2009) it was a wonderful experience. If any of you are alumni of this great outfit please contact me.

I was at Ahn Khe with 184th ord. battalion, as a guard at the ammo dump. I was there from Nov. 69 to mid January 70. From mid January to end of May I was at pleiku with the field laundry, while there we came under a rocket attack and the mess tent got blown up. The next morning a small squad of men which I was part of, went out on patrol outside the perimeter. I'm looking for others who were there or know anything about it. From end of May to Oct. I went back to Ahn Khe with the 573rd S&S company W/ the field laundry. If you have any info cal Danny Ponder @ 918-232-0085

I served in Qui Nhon at the Division Support Command in 1970. I watched the tracers falling into Camp Granite the night before I moved there. Made the move from Granite to the beach to be treated to mortar rounds that night right down the center of the main road of the new compound. Welcome home, warriors! God bless you!
