MY FATHER WAS IN VIETNAM MARCH 69 TO APRIL 69.. PFC. RANDALL RUGGS DISTINGUISHED HIMSELF WHILE SERVING
AS A RIFLEMAN WITH CO B,1st BATTALION,12th INF,4th INF DIV. ON 24 APRIL1969, PFC.RANDALL RUGGS' UNIT WAS
ON A SEARCH AND DESTROY MISSION IN THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS WHEN THEY CAME UNDER HEAVY ENEMY FIRE.
SEEING THAT A NUMBER OF HIS COMRADES WERE CAUGHT IN EXPOSED POSITIONS BY THE HOSTILE FIRE, HE
COURAGEOUSLY EXPOSED HIMSELF NUMEROUS TIMES TO LAY DOWN A VICIOUS LINEOF SUPPRESSIVE FIRE,ALLOWING
HIS COMRADES TO REACH SAFETY.AS HE EXPOSED HIMSELF HE WAS MORTALLY WOUNDED BY THE ENEMY FIRE.I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF U MIGHT KNOW HIM OR IF U KNEW SOMEONE THAT MIGHT KNOW HIM. IF U DO COULD U E-MAIL ME I HOPE TO HERE FROM U.. I VISIT THE WALL ALL THE TIME TO JUST SEE MY DADS NAME AND OTHERS ARE ON THERE. I WISH I COULD KNOWN MY FATHER I WAS ONLY 2 WHEN HE WAS KILLED ON MY BRITHDAY.. AND MY B/D IS COMEING UP SOON.. I MISS MY DAD AND I LOVE HIM VERY MUCH.. THANK U FOR EVERYTHING...

in country 70,71,+72,was with A Co,577th engr,35th group,18th engr blt,station centel highlands,Duc Trun,Dan Zun,+ Da Lat ontop the mountains West of Frang Rang Air Force Base,Lived in a bunker 70/71 with David Micheal Ogden fr Venture,Ca/ Pickeral fr Ind/Joe Morgan fr Tn or Ky/ Koasher fr Long Beach,Ca/Brown fr Alabama/Huntter fr Wyo/Tony fr ? I beleive Ca. We were a bunch of men that ran the quarry + crusher sight. would like to hear from any of these great guys. Also anyone who can reminber that engineer outfit.

I served with D company 1/8th Inf 4th Inf Div and later with C company 1/12th Inf 4th Inf Div in Viet Nam from Oct 1969 through Sept 1970. I was a squad leader and spen time i Pleiku, Ahn Khe and a short time at firebase Schuller. I would like to talk to anyone I served with or knew when in country.

One of the best sites I've found. I was in nam 68-69 with 229th assault helicopters. My brother was there same time with 2/5 1st cav. I am a life member of cav, and proud to have done my job. God bless all veterans..

My son Joel A williams served two terms in Nam. He was a corpman with 101airborne. He had a arm blown off and went to Japan ,to have it sewed on ,he has some use of it. I don't hear from him sometime for years. We was a close family. Is this natural for Nam vets. I worry so.

Served 66-67 with HHB 8/26 Arty based at Camp Townsend in the ROK Valley outside of Qui-Non. Spent majority of time in the Central Highlands i.e Pleiku Kontum, Dak-To and the fire bases in between. Looking for any one from the outfit,specially Eugene Montgamery from Baltimore and Thomas Miller from Alabama. Its a GREAT SITE

I am a daughter of a Vietnam Vet James William Bruhn who was killed in November of 1966. And I am also a mother of 2 beautiful children from Vietnam. I know very ironic. I was very blessed to get to go to Vietnam 2 times to get my children. The country is beautiful. I am interested in going to Vietnam to help out however I can. I am a teacher. Please email me to let me know what I can do to help. My children are 5 (Erin from Hanoi) and 2 (Tyler from Nha Trang). Thanks for all you have done.

I was with the 1st.mar.div. 2-27th. Fox Co. 2nd.plt. 1st.squad through 68-69. I was the squad leader of some great young men. I miss them, and really would like to hear from them. we served together for about six months. we were all sent to different outfits and I haven't heard from any of them sense. If any of you are out there or if anyone knows someone who served with the same outfit that I did, please tell them to e-mail me. Thanks!

My 2 oldest brothers both served in vietnam. My oldest brother Larry was drafted into the army at 18. He was hit by a handgranade, then his medical helicopter was shot down bringing him to the med site. He is now 55 and having a hard time with it. Would like some advise from a Vietnam Vet. Also would like to thank all of you for fighting for our country. WE LOVE YOU ALL
