I was a Navy Lieutenant. assigned to 45th TRS at Misawa as an Exchange Pilot from October 1962-March 1966. During that time, I made several deployments to Saigon and spent some time flying out of Bangkok. I was able to visit the Squadron at Misawa a year later while serving on board USS Ranger (CVA-61).
