USMC, wounded combat veteran. 62-63 w/ Joint US/Thai Military Assistance Group and MACV as advisor/air,naval gunfire liaison. 65-67 w/ the "Walking Dead", (1/9/3) and RLT-26. Served in Da Nang area incl. Marble and Monkey Mountains, Hill 55, A Shau and Antenna valleys. Final tour 70-71 with (briefly) C Co. 1st Tanks and 10 months with 1st Recon Bn, racking up 21 patrols and 5 special operations. A VWAM mission seems a perfect balance for my previous time in RVN.

I was also station at LSA Qui Nhon. Arrived there Oct 1972 from Long Binh, units at Long Binh were closing down every time I got to one. I left Qui Nhon the day after they signed the cease fire. I am trying to recall people that was there when I was, but the memory is not what it used to be. Also, I was only at LSA for a few months, that is one of the reason I am having a hard time with names...
