I was young, a girl and had no understanding for the war. I wish I had supported my troops more at the time.

I come from a long line of military men, but we missed this one era.

I was in Vet Nam 1969-1970 in the B Co. 54 th Sig. Bn at Camp McDermott, Nha Trang. I spent 25 years in the army. The Last 12 in Field Artillery, 6/14 FA, 6/37 FA. I have been in Korea, Germay & don't forget NAM. I was in FT Hood TX, Ft Huachuca AZ. I work at FT, Carson Co. now. I would like to here from some of you guys. And yes I miss being in the army.

ZULU COMPANY, MAG 16 Apr 69-Mar 70. Would like to hear from any of the guys that served with ZULU, either Army (282nd or 245th Avn Co's) or Marine Air Wingers. Or the other 0311s that were permanent at ZULU at that time. I was in 2nd Platoon the entire time. Maj Walsh, Cpl Mallow, SSG Graves, David Kurtz, Dan Martin, Mack Gorden, John Kirton, Ramon Rocha, Jim Long & Smitty are a couple of the names I remember. I got there just after the Ammo Dump at Da Nang blew up and was there when the ARVN dump blew up. Several mortar and rocket attacks and a couple race riots. I was with Don Lambert when he was killed. Leaving May 4th from LAX, then onto Phnom Penh, Cambodia before going overland to Vietnam.

Danny Riley here was in Vietnam Aug 70 to Aug71 In Quang Tri with HHB 5th/4th Arty for a few months then went to C BTRY when they were sent to Khe Sanh then we came back to C-2 stayed there till i went home in Aug. Would love to hear from any one that was there then. I was in maintence and drove the VTR (wrecker for tracks)Have some names and faces in my head but can't put them together.

I served in The Marine Corp and was in Viet Nam from july 1966 untill August 1967. I was in the 7th. Engr. Bat. company D 2nd. Platoon. I was in DaNang for a while , then we moved down to Dia Loc on Hill 37 where we did mine sweeps and construction on the roads etc. I would love to hear from anyone stationed there with me.

Was with 1stMarines 3rd bttn llth marines hq bty In country June 69 to June 70. was forward observer. Spent time on hill 155 and LZ Baldy. In the bush around Antenna Valley.

Update on my brother Jerry Moak he was in danang 1968-1969 U.S. Navy.He had pstd,8 months ago diagnosed with lung cancer(respiratory) Aug 2009 related to Agent Orange He was approved in Nov,2009 for veterans pay.He has only a few days to live, it is a shame that agent orange killed so many and just a few years ago they started approving veterans for benefits (check) My heart goes out to all veterans.May God bless you.My brother will not be with us much longer but he is my hero.I will always love you Jerry your sister Wanda [email protected]

HI, THIS CHINA BEACH LARRY MARTIN, I WAS IN THE CHINA BEACH SURF CLUB FROM 1967,68,69. I RE-STARTED IT BACK UP IN LATE 67, I WAS IN THE NAVY, A STORE KEEPER, IN DANANG, I HAD A SURF BUS, WITH TEE SHIRTS, SHORTS, AND SURFBOARDS FOR A WHILE,WORKED ON THE CHINA BEACH TV SHOW FOR 4 YEARS, OUR GROUP BUILTED THE AD-ON TO THE LIFE GAURD SHOP, WHERE THE CLUB MEMBERS STAYED. I STILL SURF AT 64, AND I KEEP IN TOUCH WITH ANOTHER MEMBER,AND HE STILL SURFS, HOPE SOME OF THE OLD MEMBERS READ THIS,WHAT A TIME .

served 1965-68 chu lai, dong ha 1968-69, and was in ammo dump, in the spot where first vc rocket hit and was wounded then. we were trapped in the bunker in yhe middle of the dump for a long time before running down the peremeter of the dump towards the front, and in the process were blown thru the air by huge explosions at least 3 times and each time we came down metal from the blast would be hitting the ground all around us. all survived
